I’ve learned many new processes to assist the RS Dept with online studies. Personally, I am most fulfilled by my daughter and grandsons. But, I am pretty proud that I have been to Egypt for the trip of a lifetime, and I was part of a team that took 2nd Place in a SoCal pool tournament – I won MY set, hahaha! In a world full of people who consider themselves as introverts, I’ve always been a proud extrovert. My proudest moment was when I completed AIDS/LifeCycle. It is a seven-day, 545-mile bicycle ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles that raises money and awareness for HIV/AIDS. It was the most difficult and most rewarding challenge I’d ever faced. My proudest work accomplishment was when I set up and project managed an extensive qualitative study for the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media. I traveled solo to five countries, including India and Brazil, to manage four days of focus groups on how women and girls are portrayed in films made in each country. Being a “peace-keeper” is my strength as a focus group moderator and team member. I’m optimistic, self-effacing, trusting, and see the best in others. I am a musician at heart and still perform in bands and do some side work as a sound engineer/technician. I have had the chance to work with musicians such as Ringo Starr, Joe Walsh, Stone Temple Pilots, and Gary Wright. I never thought I would ever meet, let alone work, with a Beatle and other high profile musicians. At work, I was honored to be a part of the team that got our mobile survey platform working and into production. I bring both a technical and creative mind to my position with SE/ASI. For over 15 years, I've moderated focus groups for film and television. I've worked for every major studio, mini-major studio and network operating today. I love getting in there to discover why consumers make the choices that they do. Because my interests are so varied (a 7 trait), I find something interesting in every project that comes up. I truly enjoy sampling the buffet of life. We 7's tend to be gregarious and intuitive, so it's not unusual that many of us started as performers. I'm still a member of SAG/AFTRA as well as a member the Actors Equity Assoc. I even toured Japan, once upon a time, as a magician's assistant! I am an avid pop culture fan and collector and have attended San Diego Comic-Con every year since 1995. I have a display in my apartment specifically of toys and collectibles that were SDCC exclusives. One of my proudest personal achievements was when my youth soccer team scored our first and only goal of the season in the final moments of our last game. The other team was still up by 2 and quite baffled by our celebration, but I doubt I've ever been happier. Today, professionally, I am proud of any time I get a particularly challenging project finally wrangled into shape and out the door. At SE/ASI, I program and support a number of our surveys, especially for digital screenings. Like a true Enthousiast, I have interests in so many fields that there is no such thing as a casual interest for me. I have always loved traveling and have been to over 2 dozen countries, visited 40 of the 50 states, and studied Art Restoration and Archaeology in Italy for a year. I traveled doing archaeological digs as well as hopped from art museum to art museum teaching Late Medieval Byzantine style painting in the Uffizi and Hellenistic sculpture technique in the Met in New York. My passion for art and history has also brought me closer to film where I developed a passion for makeup and body paint and spend any day, I am able, painting and creating props for costumes or producing new and creative ways to do photoshoots. All this drive and passion in my hobbies also translates in my work and passion for creating great work environments and keeping the love of the creation and art alive.
